SPEAKER BIO:
Since the
mid-1970s, Greg Franta, FAIA,
has been leading, pioneering,
and inspiring ecological architecture
and sustainable development. His
expertise is in creating high-performance,
sustainable buildings through
energy, water, and resource efficiency,
climate-responsive design, daylighting,
materials selection, and indoor
environmental quality. He has
provided design and consulting
services on more than 800 projects
worldwide, including residences,
offices, retail facilities, public
projects, laboratories, and new
communities. Many are considered
the most efficient in the world
and have received considerable
environmental accolades. Much
of Greg’s current work focuses
on “Making the Business
Case for Sustainable Development,”
research on the barriers and enablers
of greening corporate real estate,
and “Integrated Solutions”
to reduce the built environment’s
contribution to global warming.
He has been spreading his message
by writing, speaking, and creating
inspirational, documentary videos.
